I bought this duffle to transport camping gear, specifically for the Grand Canyon duffle service. It held 2 tents, 2 sleeping bags, 2 mats, a very compact stove, pot, bowl and some clothing. Total weight was 25 lbs. It held up very well. So much so, that I have decided to use this duffle as a storage bag for my camping gear, and also to transport it as required (car or kayak camping). The straps are long enough that with some assistance, you can sit on a chair, tip the duffle on end, and use the straps as you would a back pack. I transported it this way for a half mile, with a 25 lb load and it worked quite well. Very sturdy and yet lightweight.

Worked Great for my daughter move from Texas to New York for college! I was surprised that we could check two of these duffle bags on our United flight! I was very nervous how we were going make the trip because we were traveling so far and needing to pack enough for my daughter to have enough stuff for her dorm room. I love these duffles, they seriously hold a ton and they hold up very well. We flew my daughter to college with three of these loaded with with clothing and other items that had been condensed in shrink bags. They could not have been more stuffed.
