Great budget television. Beautiful picture. Great price.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Inexpensive, Lightweight, Built-in speakers, plays movies on usb's.

Xtra Clear Pic - Rich Sound for Built-In TV Speakers

As a snowbird, bought this TV after being frustrated by the 32”Vizio (no complaints just SMALL) sitting in a cabinet that now holds the 43” Class M5300 Full HD TV. This is the 5th Samsung that we’ve owned; we have two 56” units @ home in Canada. This pic seems brighter with heightened clairity - we are going to love it for the next two months then leave it with a friend until we return next year. One frustrating knock on this unit - it did not come with the correct sized screws needed to attach the base to the TV plus the snap in tab on the base designed to help stabilize the TV snapped off in the assembly process. A little more attention to detail here I think plus someone at the factory needs to know that throwing in bogus screws is NOT fine!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, Built-in speakers
Cons: ship the proper screws!, redesign the base connection

Replaced a 37" Sony Bravia XBR. The Samsung's picture quality is far superior. The "plug & play" setup feature is outstanding.
I would recommend this TV to anyone who thinking about purchasing a 50" HDTV.
