Seriously disappointed

I am not pleased with these filters at all. I purchased them because the dual protection filters were out of stock for a long time. These filters do not perform anywhere near as good. When these filters are used, my Classic BlueAir purifier will not auto adjust to elevated VOC levels like it did with the other filters. I've had them quite a while and the purifier barely ever turns up, even when there is noticeable odor in its vicinity. In addition, the purifier now makes a slight whistling sound non-stop. I am seriously disappointed I was "forced" into purchasing these filters in lieu of the dual protection filters -- the latter are musts for a home with pets.

After a year of only vacuuming the outside of our 600 series BlueAir I found that the back panel is easily removed by taking out the two small screws and sliding the panel straight up. The fan blades and entire interior becomes easily accessible for a vacuum.
I thought about stretching the recommended 6 month filter replacement interval, but after seeing how much gunk these filters pull out of the air I don't think that's wise – at least for me. Most of our bad inside air is from cooking.

These filters give off an unpleasant odor when the machine is on, so I am unable to use them. How strange that this would be a problem with filters that are supposed to purify the air!

I’ve had the same machine for years. I buy the filters and the machine keeps protecting me. I have COPD and asthma. Now while I have isolated myself for safety it is a big help as asthma season has begun.

This product is good. I replace my filters every six months, that is around $160 on air filters. That is too high of a price. I am looking for another source for the filters.

I bought Blueair filters a few months ago. In the past with other air purifiers, it's such a hassle to change the filters. These are so easy to do. Just drop them in and you're done! I also like that you can see the different layers of purification. The outer carbon layer is the added bonus!
