Speakers Good, Cover Not

I have a 2015 Key West BR210 and the JBL 6510 speaker covers have become so brittle that they shatter. After some research, I have not been sucessful in obtaining replacment covers. I am told you have to replace the whole speaker. Speakers sound good but material of housing is poor quality for boat speakers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Plastic speaker weak can't take a bump if located low in the boat.

Weak cover and no replacements

Speakers sound good but the covers are really weak. One good bump and they crack wide open. From what I can tell you cannot just replace the cover either. You have to buy a whole new speaker.

I purchase a 2016 Nautic Star 2102 and all four speaker covers have disintegrated, cracked, split, what ever you want to call it. I will reserve my opinion so as to at least provide the Company a chance to respond to its product defects.

Not UV Resistant!

In my new boat. After one season in the water, grill easily shattered. Can’t replace just the grill and have to buy a pair as far as I can tell. Just as well, the other one will shatter soon. Terrible product and doesn’t matter how good it sounds.

DURABILITY IS POOR

IN 2 SHORT SEASONS ON MY BOAT THE GRILL COVERS POWDER IN MY HANDS. NO GRILL REPLACEMENT AVAIL WITH THE TWEETER INTEGRAL TO THE GRILL AND MUST REPLACE ENTIRE SPEAKER, OR IN MY CASE ALL 4. INTENDED TO TAKE SPKRS AND MAKE ENCLOSURES FOR GARAGE BUT ALSO NOTED THAT 1 OF THE SPEAKERS HAD A NASTY BUZZ TO IT. CANT EVEN GET GARAGE USE OUT OF THESE.

not durable. after several summers, I bumped grill cover and grill cover shattered. I was not worried until I realized I would have to replace the entire speaker. sound is fine. I am not happy!!

The speaker cove crumbles and is not UV resistant.

Speakers sound great but housing material becomes extremely brittle after one year. I have had mine for two years. the covers on all speakers have completely crumbled and disintegrated with only the lightest touch.
