Epson Projector EX71

Just got this unit today and it was up and running in no time.
I love the ease of use and the weight for this projector. It is extremely clear and sharp.
I would recomend this unit to anyone who is looking for a great projector.
I plan to use this unit in my photography workshops.

Epson EX-71 Projector

I was not sure which projector to buy. I needed one with excellent graphics and viewable in both 16:9 and 4:3. The Epson EX71 did not disappoint me at all. If you're on the shelf, and not sure which unit would best serve your purpose, This is an excellent choice!

This small but powerfull projector is the best buy that we have made yet. It's light weight and projects a great image.

Forget about Plug'n Play

The Plug 'n Play feature was a big attraction, but when I use it, the video out of the projector is jerky and slow- not the same as what you are seeing on the computer screen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I found this projector to be easy to operate and (so far) trouble free. I like the USB feature where I can present a powerpoint just using a thumbdrive. Works great with a portable DVD for class room presentations. Great projector for the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

never expected to be so easy. But you need HDMI cable at hand. I tried usb and VGA cable, usb cable couldn't provide smooth pictures while VGA connection always auto tune the picture to a weird angle. HDMI really works, provide the sharpest picture and smoothest flow while it's just plug and play.
But the projector is super hot when working, don't know if it's supposed to be like this. We'll see.

Great brightness; Good focus; but NO audio out!

If this unit had an audio out connector like the cheaper EX31, it would have 5 stars...but...
We love the projector for its quick setup and very bright picture (for the weight, size, and cost).
However, we were EXTREMELY disappointed when we found out that there is no audio out jacks on this projector! Only the EX31 unit has it in this model lineup.
Not sure what Epson was thinking when they incorporated HDMI input (video and audio combined) and expected the only audio to come out of the tiny speakers in the projector. We had a full setup ready from our Apple TV's HDMI going into the projector and some amplified speakers ready to be connected...but no dice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
