frustrated by fax

I am unable to receive faxes on this complicated system. The instruction booklet is confusing. My daughter who is much more IT sophisticated cant figure it out either. I use the fax and that was the whole purpose of buying the machine.Outgoing fax is not a problem however.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This by far is the best machine I have owned. It has a small footprint, was a breeze to set up using a USB cable and is pretty intuitive to operate (I will probably attempt to go wireless in the near future). I have it hooked up to an answering system and it works perfectly. The incoming and outgoing faxes are clean and clear. The scanning and copying features work great and this machine is pretty quick at everything it does. The only thing I have not tried yet is to print on photo paper. I would highly recommend the MFC-495CW.

Great Purchase

I am a small business owner and use this printer for that purpose. It is very easy to set up. I have had this printer for a month now. I find that the print quality is pretty decent as well. My only issue is with the ink cartridges. As with most printers, the black ink tends to go rather fast and it's expensive to replace. Overall, highly satisfied. Great purchase for the price.

The machine is compact, makes less noise while printing compared to similar products from other brands.
Love the wireless feature. Print, scan, fax from any where in the house.

I love the printer. The only problems I have ever had with is the paper getting jammed but that can be easily fixed through the back of the printer. I like the wireless feature. This is the best printer I have ever had

I bought this brother a couple of months ago. It took longer to get it out of the packaging then it did to get my network all connected to it. Great product for a cheap price.

Inexpensive but...

I bought this printer on a recommendation from a friend. It was inexpensive but I was disappointed in the print quality and speed. The only positive I would give is that it is fairly simple to scan documents into PDF files.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
