Excellent all round frig

A good refrigerator.

I recently upgraded my kitchen and bought this to replace my older GE model (which I moved in the garage and still functions well). The refrigerator compartment is a good size, however, the freezer is a bit on the small side. I also noticed that there is a little bit of warm air coming from the bottom of the unit. I just assume it is the motor. I like the energy saver feature, but I am not yet so sure if it really works......

Great Refrigerator

I bought this refrigerator about 1 1/2 months ago and am very pleased. With the two doors, you only have to open half of it and retrieve what you want. The freezer on the bottom, is very handy and makes for easy access. The recommended setting of 5 has been just right for our foods.

This is a great product. The refrigerator is very roomy, with an easy to use layout. Ice maker section in freezer is covered. So happy to have a good quality product from a company making the effort to bring manufacturing back to the USA!

Disappointed with Freezer Space

I replaced my side by side freezer 3 years ago with this freezer. Was so excited to get this freezer but it seems like I have less space for a larger freezer. I really liked the idea of bottom freezer but the bottom basket is to small. It needs to be taller since it seems every time I put food in it falls out to the back. I finally put foam board cut to size so food wont fall back. Basket needs to be redesigned otherwise it would be a great freezer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Build quality is disappointing

I have used this refrigerator for almost 6 years. It worked fine in general. But the build quality of internal parts are poor. They were all made of plastic. Only after one or two years of use, the vegetable tray's hanging trails were broken. The result is that the tray can't be easily opened or closed properly. Now the bottom pan is broken too. I just put normal stuffs in it. The vegetable tray holds vegetables. The pan on it holds two gallons of milk, and a bit other vegetables. I am surprised that GE products can't even handle this load. How I can use the refrigerator then?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
