Newer unit not as good as older models

I purchased a new unit ADV50N in April 2015. This was the second unit I have purchased, the first in 2007. The 2015 unit is for a new house. Less than 8 months later, the power plug broke. The second unit is not the quality of the first/older unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First product ordered - wood door had dried glue and would not take finish. re-ordered. Second product - tip or ironing board would not stay in (kept popping out); short in iron plug (wiggle and would go on and off); had to get service rep to order new electrical panel.
Sad because this replaced an Nu-Tone ironing board center we had had for 19 years (new irons too tall for storage space) - and never had one problem with it!
