I am satisfied overall with the Blueair 403, except for one thing: each time I receive a new filter, it takes a couple of days for the filter to off-gas. This is very challenging, as I have environmental sensitivities and must plan to stay out of the room for two days until the off-gassing is complete.
I would recommend this to a friend!

When i read that Consumer Reports rated Blueair air purifiers 20 points higher i new that it was the brand for me. And it far exceeds expectations. Superb construction and very quiet.

Effective and quiet air filter!

We love this air filter. We bought our first one about 5 years ago due to dust mite allergies. It made such a difference, we bought another one for our kids bedroom. It has been easy to use and maintain. I am so happy we found blueair. I would definitely recommend this product.

Great for older houses/allergies

My husband and daughter have allergies/congestion almost year-round. We moved into a house built in the '80s, and the quality of the air was noticeably worse than in our previous residence due to older ventilation system/dustiness plus some kind of older place smell... We decided that 2 of 403 series air filters would be a good investment for our family as we really value our health.
We had these air filters for over 6 months now. I have noticed significant improvements in my husband's and daughter's congestion and allergy incidents. Best part - there is noticeably less dust in the house and the "old house" smell has been gone. I would recommend this product.

2 kids with asthma...no breathing problems now

I have two small children with asthma. Since the addition of the Blueair 403, the upstairs portion of our house is nearly dust free, the air quality can be sensed, and the kids sneeze a lot less. While we keep the house very clean, I am continually amazed at how dirty the filter is every 6 months when I change it. That alone is a testament to the quality of this unit. It is very quiet and energy efficient. I also LOVE the filter club which mails the filter every 6 months without me having to order it. Great customer service as well!

My husband has environmental allergies including dust and dog and cat dander. I admit I'm not the best house cleaner and don't keep up with the dusting.
We bought 2 units and keep one in the bedroom going full blast during the day with the door closed. At night it's turned to low and it runs quiet as a whisper!
