[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is so great! The laptop I use for work does not have a keypad and I have such a hard time using it on the days I need to do data entry with numbers. This is so helpful to have. I like that I can have the number pad when I need it, but can put it away when I don't. It saves space and is packable when I need to go somewhere to work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

If it sits unused, it must go into a sleep mode. When you go to use it, the first key punched never works and you have to hit it twice.....or punch a random key before you begin entering numbers. Then it's like it goes off of sleep mode, and works fine....until it sits. I have hit the reset button, changed the battery, nothing works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yes, our keypads have a power saver function that will put the pads to sleep after a set amount of idle time. When you go to use them again just press any key and they will wake up.

Works fine on my 2009 MacBook Pro. The automatic "keyboard detection" wizard does launch and asks a question that is useless for a 10-key pad. I just quit it and went about my business.
It seems that the enter key on it is mapping as the normal return key instead of the keypad enter, which makes it not always behave the way one would intend, especially in games.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I buy this in order to write special characters using the ascii code in my laptop. But it is just good to write numbers. There is no lock in order to write the special characters while pressing "Alt" on my computers. Money badly spent. But if you are just data entering numbers, I guess it should make your work faster.

Do not like the stiffness of the keys. I also do not like it the fact that when I turn on the key pad and start enter a number you have to hit the same number twice before the key pad begins to recognize what it’s being directed to do.

All of our keypads have a sleep function that begins at 1 to 5 minutes of idle time. This is not something that can be turned off and was implemented to conserve battery life when the keypad is not in use. To get it to wake just press any key and then start entering your data as normal.

Such a short range!

I am stop-motion animator and I got this as a christmas gift. I have a wired keypad with a 6 foot usb cord. This thing only transfers a signal under 3ft. COMPLETELY USELESS TO ME. Why make a product like this with something as limiting as a 3 foot wireless range?

Works well except for the decimal button.

When I hit the decimal key, it often adds a 0.9 instead. Must be some compatability issues with my computer, but I can not find any updated drivers.
