stopped working when i replaced the battery

i bought this a few months agoand i rarely use it but the mouse stopped working when i put a rechargeable battery in it a few days ago, so i went back to a regular 1.5v aa battery and still the thing doesnt work
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm very pleased with this device

I bought this mouse over a year ago for the features and price.I have only had one software problem with the driver in Win 7 64 bit. The hardware is solid.The battery life is very good, I seldom turn it off and the batteries last more than a month with very heavy use. This mouse is great for a casual gamer like myself, the response is very good and it's very easy to change batteries, I'd love to see more products from the engineer/s that designed this mouse with creative expression.This is one of the best designs I've seen in a long time. I would however like for Targus to engineer a standalone control panel for their products on Windows 7 because when putting the computer to sleep with the mouse left on would cause the need for a hardboot on my computer.I now turn the mouse off before If put my computer to sleep although because of the problem I put the computer to sleep less often because I don't want to hardboot. One suggestion ,design a simple plastic case with a belt clip to protect from scratches.With a case that has a belt clip included for the same price my rating would be a perfect 5/5.
Cons: win 7 sleep problem with driver, no protective case

It was good until...

it was a good mouse i was awesome the only problem is that the mosue stopped working and im having problems turning it on. when i replace the battery or turn it off and on again it turns on but then turns off. i checks my computer and my computer registers it fine. i dont know whats happening.

Perfect travel mouse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice light weight mouse that I keep in my travel computer bag. The USB dongle fits neatly inside of the mouse and keeps things clean. Feel in the hand is nice and accuracy is good. Great product that has done great after many trips in the travel bag.

"A New Brand That Caught My Eye"

I am a electronic & computer geek, so I tend to stick to the "name brands". I do make an exception from time to time and with this product, I'm glad I did. This mouse is ergonomically correct. It fits and curves naturally with your hand. That's not the only feature that separates itself from the rest of the pack. It also has a nice compartment, underneath the mouse, for stowing the usb device. The mouse top is a perfect design. There isn't any hassle of taking off the mouse top. It is held on by magnets. It pops right off and goes right back on. The battery compartment is another feature that was designed just right. There is a plastic holder, that slides into a slot, to hold down the batteries. This makes for easy battery changing. I would recommend this product to anyone. It is durable and correctly priced.
Pros: ergonomically correct, compartment for usb device, mouse lid easy to take off & put back on, battery compartment makes changing batteries easy

Perfect gift

Very easy to use and the buttons are very smooth. We bought rechargeable batteries for it but so far the battery is lasting longer than I had expected it to.

Don't use it to play games

It is just too hard to press the mouse key. That cost my fingers and muscle ache. Otherwise, it is an okay mouse.
