Super Cool looking Beer fridge....but

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this fridge delivered yesterday. Pros; looks fantastic in my bar area in the man cave. Tons of room for all beverages. Keeps everything super cold. Easy to move with the heavy duty casters.
Cons; casters are a little awkward to put on, but not that big of a deal. Pretty loud. Shelves are a poor design. I had no confidence they would hold so I zip tied each shelf so there wouldn't be an accident. Considering the price of the unit and the fact it's Frigidare Commercial, the shelving mechanism should be a lot beefier.

Looks great but not a commercial unit

This is a commercial look but doesn’t have a commercial cooling unit. It’s a standard unit and my fridge stopped cooling after four years. Mechanic said the unit went bad

Solid cooler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great cooler. Maybe a bit on the noisy side it that is a concern for you - but I expected that as a commercial unit.
The shelves in mine are petty heavy gauge and very sturdy I wonder if the other reviewer installed them wrong - I don't see any way beer could make them fall as I have a shelf with drinks and other with things that are heavier and have never had any kind of a issue. In fact I just went and pressed down as hard as i could on a loaded shelf and tried to joggle the shelf lose with no issue - I would look at how you installed the commercial shelf clips my guess is they are not installed properly.
I like it so much I am probably going to add the similar freezer - i wish they made one with a glass door though
I gave it a average rating for features because there really aren't a ton of features other then a nice unit that keeps things cold - maybe a door alarm could be added idk. The castors that it came with are nice - much nicer then I thought they would be based on what I paid for the unit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great unit - While it lasted

I purchased this unit about 4 years ago. During that time we really enjoyed this fridge in our basement as a beer-only refrigerator (but have used it for overflow refrigerator in a pinch, i.e. Thanksgiving). It's a great looking unit with plenty of space and was flexible for our needs. We did have a catastrophic shelf collapse early on as others have noted which was a real mess of broken glass and beer. That was solved by zip tying each shelf and they are solid now. Unfortunately, the unit has failed in around 4 years of service. Loud pops have been occurring lately and I think the compressor has failed as it is no longer cooling. This is far too short a life span for this expensive of a product. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this refrigerator

Bad design

Pros: great looking design, lots of space Cons: runs often even in cool basement. As others have stated, poor shelf design that was not made for heavy residential let alone commercial use (these will fail as they have mine).
