What a Blu-ray Player!!!

I actually purchased the Samsung BD-P2550 from Best Buy. This player is simply awesome. The updated firmware to get Netflix and Pandora comes with the system in a CD form. Just load it up and, wait a few minutes to update and your on your way. There are many pros to this player which I have mentioned above. The Netflix streaming is really good assuming you have a very fast (high bandwith) internet connection. I have DSL with 6MPS speed and can get all circles filled and movies play without any glitches. Very satisfied with the results. Pandora is great for what it is. When you want to listen to music, it will find any music you like and play it automatically. I have it installed on my computer as well and use it all the time. So far I have not had one issue with this player. Blu-ray playback is just fantastic. Not all BD discs are the same in picture or sound quality. Can not wait until Black Night is released next month. This will be worth the purchase alone. This is one movie you just have to have on BD to do it justice. Sound is wonderful as well from this player. It has an internal decoder for many of the formats with the exception of DTS MA. I can't figure out why Samsung left this one out? This player comes equipped with 7.1 analog output and just begs for DTS MA. So far this is my only complaint. If I upgrade my receiver over the next year or so this will not be an issue.
This is one great player and deserves your attention. Samsung has done an excellent job with this player to bring many outstanding features to a stand alone player at a great price point. I picked up this player at Best Buy for $349. Best buy has extended their return and price match policy for any player purchased until after the holidays. No excuse not to pick one up as they will refund if this player goes low on Black Friday. I have heard this player will probably go for as low as $249. With the extra $100, time to pick up some BD movies. Do yourself a favor and go out and pick up one these.

This player loads fast and is easy to setup. The anynet makes it very easy to use with my Samsung LN52A750 LCD TV. Only 1 remote to control both. I networked the Blu-Ray and setup a Netflix account. The quality of the Netflix streaming is amazing. The player upconverts DVDs really well. I am very pleased with this player.

The Samsung BD-P2500 is simply amazing. Combining a consumer friendly set up process, sleek design, and loads of features, there is no reason to go with any other Blu-ray player. For the money, you will not find a better Blu-ray player on the market. Movies look exquisite, and sound quality is amazing. It runs very quiet, unlike sony's PS3 Blu-ray player, so there is little distraction when enjoying your movies. So, if in the market for a quality Blu-ray player, look no further than the Samsung BD-P2500. Indeed.

Best Blu-Ray Player Today

I thoroughly researched blu-ray players before deciding on the 2550 from Best Buy. The only difference is the 2550 has pandora, whereas the 2500 does not. I currently own a Samsung LCD, so I really wanted to get a Samsung blu-ray, as I have been extremely happy with the TV. There were two negatives that I was concerned with. The first was the lack of on-board decoding of DTS-HD MA. I have an older Denon receiver that I am not ready to upgrade, so I really wanted this. It has since been resolved in a recent firmware upgrade, so I now have it!. The second concern was the issues with compatibility of some discs, which seems to be an issue with all previous generations of Samsung blu-ray players. I have not once had an issue. Netflix streaming is a great plus, as well as pandora if you get the 2550. The blu-ray quality is amazing. Dark Night on blu-ray is the best source I have ever seen, especially the IMAX scenes. It does a great job of up-converting DVD's with the HQV chip. Overall, you can't find a better player today, and I can't think of anything that other players can do better than this one. If you are in the marker for one, this is the best at it's price point.

Disappointing at best

I have had this BluRay about 10 months now and it has been in for repair three times. I just got it back and watched one movie so far and when it works the performance is wonderful. I am so hoping I don't have a lemon and it will continue to work. I plan to watch two more movies this weekend and hope I get to see them all the way through. I will rent the same one I rented last time and got to see about 10 minutes worth when it stopped working. I so hope they fixed it this time. I won't put any more money into it. I will say though, this last time it was repaired at no charge to me. I am disappointed in the machine though because I couldn't be happier with the 52 in. LCD Samsung TV I bought. Love it.

Have had this player for almost a year now, Panasonic was my first choice.
