Nice replacement for us

I bought the Duet Dryer 3 weeks ago and have been happy with how well it works. It's nice to be able to trust the dryer will work properly each time I use it and clothes will dry quickly and efficiently.

Disappointed

I was truly disappointed to find out the dryer, which was certainly not the bottom of the line, did not have a drum light. I think Whirlpool has made a big error by leaving off such an inexpensive but utility feature. rands costing much less have this feature.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had my new whirlpool front-end loader washing machine and the corresponding dryer for over 2 months. I am overall satisfied with their performance. I am really happy that the washer uses about one third of the water my old top loading machine used too, and does a better job at getting those pesky spots off. Both machines are not too noisy; my only negative thought is their size.In a time when computers are becoming smaller and smaller, it seems, not only whirlpool but all brands of washers and dryers, are becoming bigger and bigger. I just wonder why as the cubic volumes of the drums are the same as old models.

I Love my new dryer! The settings make it so easy to do laundry properly. No more over drying, or wrinkled clothes. It is also very quiet.

Large and In Charge

This dryer is great! The bin is very large and I love the different cycles that can be chosen for each load of laundry. It dries great and I would say very efficient in drying. There is an option to use "less power" (making it more energy efficient) but that does extend the time significantly. Overall, this is a great dryer and the way it "sings" when it starts and completes is a nice touch! No more annoying BUZZ!!!!

Whirpool dryer duet

I have this dryer about a month. It does a good job - nothing extraordinary. The lint trap does not fit securely and it has a lint sensor so you have to keep the lint trap clean. Because the normal cycle is on medium heat it takes a long time for all my clothes to dry, sometimes I have to add more time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new house we bought did not come with a washer and dryer, so we needed to buy a new set but were a bit strapped for cash because of the home purchase. We knew we wanted a front loading set that was energy efficient. There was really no contest with other brands...the Whirlpool Duet had the highest ratings within our budget. We have had the set for 2 months and have been very happy. Some reviews I had read mentioned noise being an issue, but we haven't noticed. I'm glad we purchased the Whirlpool set and I would do it again, even if we had $2,000+ to spend.
