We purchased our Duets to solve a space issue and we absolutely love them. They are more spacious than I thought and dry so well. Great purchase price also. Love Whirlpool!

Replaced an LG that last about five years. Compact design and simplicity were selling points

So quiet I had to check to see if it was running

The dryer works very well. The first few times I used it, I kept checking to make sure it was still running. The one thing that I have noticed is that is doesn't always shut off after you open it at the end of the cycle. The washer does this but not always the dryer.

Quiet or Experiencing Hearing Loss?
on October 13, 2015

The dryer was installed on September 17, 2015, and to date I have been extremely happy with it, although it has less capacity than my older one. However, it is VERY quiet. Unfortunately, I do not have room to stack the dryer with the washer in my present space, but when we downsize the stacking feature will be great.

I bought this dryer 2 months ago and am very happy with it. It's automatic cycles sensor dry every load. It is much more efficient than my old dryer. It has helped to reduce my electric bill.

I Don't Love the Eco-Cycle
on December 18, 2015

We bough this dryer a month or so ago after our old one died. I would say in general it works fine. I'm not impressed with the Eco-cycle though. While it does seem to monitor the humidity and adjust the cycle time accordingly, things often come out damp in spots (i.e. pants waste-bands, heavy socks) We gave up on using it for towels and jeans -they never dry properly. But, for things like t-shirts, sheets, underwear, etc. the dryer works great. When you unload, the clothes are not in a lump in the bottom. They seem "fluffed", which my wife likes. My electric bill kept going up which tipped me off that the old dryer might not be working right. In the last bill, I saw a bit of a decline, so I think it's helping.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Flip Door a great advantage. Controls so-so

We have a small utility room and chose Whirlpool not only because of quality and features, but because it was stackable and the dryer front door was reversable. With less than 10 screws, I was able to make the dryer door left opening. Great engineering and very easy to do.When stacked, you engineers need to figure out out to put the dryer controls lower. A short person can't reach (we use a stool).
