Good dryer

We've had this replacement dryer about 2 months and are happy with it. It has more basic functions than our previous Whirlpool (less heat settings, e.g.) but is sufficient for our needs. Our previous dryer lasted about 14 years. It "matches" our Duet washer purchased about 2 years ago but is not the same height. So I guess the models get tweaked each year like cars and phones! I'm not used to its noises yet - and it is sensitive(makes noises) if you touch the front panel. I don't want to continually lock/unlock the control panel.

We purchased this dryer a few weeks ago and so far it has been a pleasure to use. We were happily surprised by the quick turnaround time from the point of purchase until it was delivered.

Whirlpool Duet Electric Dryer

I purchased this with the washer to complete the set as I relocated from Houston to Dallas. I left my old Duet set in my previous home that I am now renting so that my renters could have a solid washer/dryer set. The old set is 12 years old and still running great. My only choice was to purchase the same brand and set in my new home!

Good Basic Dryer

I purchased the Whirlpool HE dryer to replace a 12 year old Kenmore Elite. The dryer does a good job doing its job drying clothes, but is not the quality of the Elite. I find the chime incrediably annoying and there is no way to decrease the volume or turn it off--this is anunfortunate design flaw.

We brought our duet dryer home, it was faulty straight out of the box. We had to take it back and exchange for another machine. Not sure we made a good decision for this appliance brand. Hope for the best.
