Great LCD HD

Recently purchased my 3rd Samsung LCD HD (52" 1080p). It, like my prior purchases (a 46" 1080p and a 40" 1080p) is a great set. Wonderful color, true blacks, and the picture resolution/sharpness is great. The television's menu options provide a "non-geek" television person like myself plenty of flexibility for personalizing settings to my perferences. I also have purchased a Samsung blu-ray player and a Samsung dvd player for movie viewing on my LCD HDs. The dvd player is great, but the blu-ray player with the 52" LCD HD is spectacular - takes home movie viewing to a entirely new dimension. Additionally, I have such good results with my Samsung products that I have helped family/friends purchase and set up 4 Samsung LCD HD 1080p sets (52', 42", 42", and 37") for their homes. To date everyone has been pleased with their purchases. My next Samsung purchase will probably be a home theater surround sound system for my 52" LCD HD to replace my Sony system that I recently "donated" to my son in college.

A beautiful picture - we love it!

We purchased the LN52B630 as it is the highest model with a matte screen - it has outstanding picture quality, even better than any of last year's "A" models.
The matte screen makes a HUGE difference in areas with lots of windows or other light sources. Our previous TV had a relflective screen guard, and the change is SO nice.
The speakers are adequate for daily TV viewing, but use an external sound system for movies and music if you can.
Very easy to set up and use! Great remote control.
It does have touch controls in the center of the lower bezel for basic operation , but the are very hard to see - they do not light up or anything, at least on my set. The On/Off control is easy to find if you forget where the remote is or it walks off after watching for a while :)
The user manual comes on a USB stick or you can download it from Samsung (ahead of your purchase if you want to). There might be a couple of pages you would wand to print out from your PC - you don't need the whole thing. And there is onscreen help for the different setup selections, so we rarely need the manual.
It does have an ethernet connection - I hope Samsung adds more web capability or even some DLNA features in future firmware releases.
(A comment on the previous review - this TV does not have Pandora/Netflix - or at least mine doesn't - those come with the Samsung BluRay players)

I can't imagine any television that is either on the market now or will be soon having a better HD picture than this model. I spent two years searching for the perfect picture and I am sure I found it! There is no downside to this television set. Every feature a person could ever want is incorporated into this set and probably much more. Friends with other brands of HD tv's marvel at the crispness and clarity of the picture. I would recommend this set to anyone!

The best LCD TV ever

I am very glad that I got B630. If you care about Picture quality get this one. I purchased the Sony KDL-52Z5100 with all the freebies (ps3, movies) I was so disappointed with the contrast, and color, final I had to return back to the store and got the LN52B630, my wife and I are very happy with this purchase. You will not go wrong with Samsung LCD TV.

I've been a loyal Sony fan for years and recently it came time to get a new TV. I went through all the reviews and looked at all the different models. After an exhaustive search this Samsung was the clear favorite. The picture on this TV is amazing. Its features that connect with the Internet expand the possibilities for what I can do with the TV. On top of that the price was very good compared to the other makers. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Samsung LCD Rocks

My brand new 52' LCD Samsung arrived today, 3 weeks ahead of schedule, the day before Christmas. I was in love from the moment I turned on this TV. Set up was a breeze, good documentation is provided in the box and I had to do very little adjustment to achieve optimum viewing in a brightly lit room. I'd originally ordered a 46' Sharp and sent it back 1 week later, then I did research on this model and I knew it was what I wanted. I am a movie hound with over 650 DVD and an avid game who uses every console, so I wanted something versatile.
I think Samsung LCD's are the best value for the money. I think Samsung maintains their level of quality across all lines of the LCD TV models from low to high unlike Sharp, whose reps will tell you that anything that is not an Aquos is inferior and not supported in the same manner as the top of the line Aquos. Unless the quality takes a nose dive, I will never buy another brand of TV except Samsung.

The BEST LCD tv - Researched

I am a 61 year old woman and I have to say a sports fan. I researched LCD tv's for about 2 months and found this one to be rated one of the highest both from consumers and from consumer rating magazines. It was a big purchase and one I didn't make lightly.
I MADE THE RIGHT DECISION! This LCD is wonderful and I highly recommend it to all tv watchers from videos, to sports, to action shows. Easy set up, easy connections and user friendly. Samsung, you are the best when it comes to LCD television. Thank you!

2nd LCD display I have owned and the most I have ever spent on a TV. All I can say is this, I have pulled out all my DVD and its like Im watching them for the first time. Buying blu-ray dvd's now tottally incredible display, features. I am so impressed at the performance of this Samsung. BUY HDMI cables anything less and you wont experience the full true 1080p that this screen can give you even in 720p inhanced looks good. BUY this TV buy a Samsung you wont be dissappointed. I lost hours of sleep at night watching movies cant turn it off.
