Battery is an issue

Pros: For the price good design, performance, web browsing is good, Wi-Fi works great
Cons: Battery, takes forever to charge (up to 3 hrs), does not last, anly about 3-4 hrs
Turn on takes a long time

This is my first tablet, it is adequate for me

I bought this at a good price. I intend to travel without my laptop and transfer large raw photo files to micro sd cards. I'm still working on getting the correct USB cable, camera to tablet, link with the camera. The tablet works fine and is intuitive for the most part. It grabbed my wireless and put me on line right away updating and taking me to Google Apps.
This tablet works fine I feel I got what I paid for and perhaps more. One app which doesn't work with it is GrocID which my wife uses and I would like to coordinate with her. All other apps seam quite compatible. Future tablets: I would like to include 4G, and the ability to tether with my notebook as a 4G modem. For now this is a fine learning piece.

Happy with the purchase. Great price point for what the Slate 7 delivers. Jelly Bean OS is great, and many apps available. The only downside I've seen is that the battery life seems to be shorter than the 5 hours stated. Overall, nice product and I would recommend it, especially if you're ready to throw your support to Google OS and Play.

This is half the size of the pad I had before and can do 10 times as much. There is an app for everything. Love it.

Good product but needs task bar guide

I would have rated the Slate 7 great if I could have had easy access to a users guide that provides help with task bar icon codes. I have had it for a few weeks and still have not found all the answers. I have a box with 'check mark' inside shown in the task bar and have no idea what it means. Also, I have had boxes with 'red !' inside and have to guess which app needs attention. You should be able to tap on these in the task bar to, at least, get the app name so you can fix the issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use and download songs and other info, uses google my favorite browser. Much faster than the tablet from two years ago. Has beats audio.
