I really like these headphones they work well with my Xperia Z2! I love the audio quality, bass and crispness is there without getting baffled. Good battery life. The built in Digital Amplifier really makes a huge difference in audio quality! Love these headphones because they are versatile with connectivity options too!

Decent Product Hampered by Poor Customer Service

They sound decent. Actually, they sound pretty good when connect through the lighting cable to an iPhone 6. But see the following issues:
1. Using it through the USB port in a MacBook Pro is very simple, but can be frustrating if you've never done it before. The instruction manual does not explain properly how to use them with a computer. Customer service had absolutely no idea how to set up. I had to Google the whole thing up somewhere else.
2. High-res media player that is advertised in the instruction manual is nowhere to be found. The link provided was broken. Had to undertake a lengthy Google search just to find it in a different Sony website (certainly not the one advertised in the manual).
3. The advertised charging accessory is nowhere to be found for purchase in Sony's website.
4. Headphone usability will depend on how durable the proprietary cables last. Sony will surely not support this product past a certain date. They barely support it now.
This is my second time trying to post this review. Sony doesn't like negative reviews listed.

Got these cans yesterday 11/29/2014 what can I say, if you have MDR7506 and NW-f807 or NWZ-a17 just adjust your equalizer . Sony reps. are very miss oriented about new Sony products. Talked to them before the purchase. They know nothing! Heavier than 7506 and tighter (warming for cold winters)

Sound great... after figuring out set up

Purchased these last week and am pretty happy so far. I usually opt for in-ear and have been using Shure for a long time as my go-to for travel. Decided it was time for some cans to drown out my noisy co-workers and decided the MDR-1ADAC a go. I've never had a DAC or, obviously headphone with a DAC built-in, so I am very impressed with the sound quality. However... COME ON SONY. Setting these up was like trying to solve a riddle. Thank god for the internet and some European who decided to actually explain that you had to download a driver and install it, then find your recognized device through the audio settings in Windows. It's beyond silly that there are zero instructions included with the headphones that mention this. I'm not one who wants a 30 page manual, but just thrown me a bone here. It's a vital piece of info...

THE BEST BY FAR!

I've sampled ALOT of different headphones and purchased several over the years, before I came across these totally by accident. I'd never heard of them before. They were on sale and the salesperson recommended them. I was very skeptical because my previous pair of Sony (noise-cancelling) headphones were very disappointing. I was reluctant to even try them, but I was so wrong, These are some of the best sounding headphones I have ever experienced, bar none, at any price. Incredible range, depth, and clarity, and a very reasonable price.
