I had my pressure cooker 6 quart for 25 years. I still use my presto cooker to cook my oxtails, stew chicken, other meats, and makes it taste so delicious.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pressure cooking makes even the toughest cuts of meat so tender. We hear 'comfort foods' in your review. Yummy!
I have purchase this model three time. One for a daughter, another for my home kitchen and a third for use in a travel trailer. The first one was purchased sometime in the 1990s and is still in excellent functioning order.

With proper maintenance, they will last for a very long time. We recommend changing the rubber parts every 2-3 years to get a good seal. Thanks for your review. We appreciate you!
I love this thing. Presto after decades continues to make top notch products. No disappointments or regrets here. Had the aluminum version for decades and continues to work flawlessly but recently decided for a backup and upgraded to the stainless-steel model. These pressure cookers unlike the competitors are manufactured without overly engineered and complicated design such as that of the safety mechanisms. Read and follow the accompanying manufacturer's instructions and apply common sense is all required. My parents and I have been using Presto pressure cookers for over 30 years, same type of model and other than replacing the rubber seals which wear out with time and constant use have never experienced any negative issues.
Honestly, I’ve been using this pressure cooker for over twenty years, and I logged on to find a sealing gasket - I’m using the original gasket and over pressure plug. I decided to write this review because of a really bad one with boil over pictures that jumped out at me. Obviously, the user didn’t follow instructions - maybe overfilled the pot, cooked something that naturally froths, or kept it boiling too hard after it began to steam. It appears he might need a new gasket, as nothing should seep from under the lid. This is the best little pressure cooker I’ve ever had, and I’ve had several.

Momma always used her pressure cooker from pinto beans to pot roast and stew... A great, healthy way to cook. Mine had been used for 25 years... still pressured, but allowing steam out a bit. I decided it will go in the RV and invested in a new one for home! Love my Presto!!!
I had a Presto 6 quart for years and I stupidly gave it away. I regretted it and ordered the same exact one a few weeks ago. I love my pressure cooker and make at least one dinner a week in it. I don’t know if anyone else feels this way but there’s something really relaxing about the sound of the rocker and the steam while I sit and read on an autumn or winter day!
I bought this pressure cooker last week and what disaster! I have experience with stove pressure cooker over 40 years but this one is worst and dangerous
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had to buy a new pressure cooker, the 44 yr old Presto 4 qt one would not work on an induction stove. I look forward to putting an entire chicken in the bigger pot. And the 2 handles are great.
