I chose Cuisinart because of the reputation and name but am disappointed in this mixer. On the lowest speed, it is still too fast for initially blending items such as pudding mix into milk. This is a replacement for a GE mixer that I had for over 40 years. Also, the beaters are very thin and do not seem will hold up over time. At this point, I wish I had bought a different brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This 5 Speed Hand Mixer from Cuisinart is phenomenal. It works fast and makes short work of preparing dishes. My last mixer couldn't take the work load we used to put it through and as a result it died. Now I feel like I'm working with a powerful mixer that seems capable of handling all task I put to it through.

Very Powerful!! Finally had to replace our old Braun hand mixer. Got this unit and it is awesome! Got it because of the name. Hopefully it last's half as long as the 20 year old Braun. Stands up good when you set it down, feels good and comfortable to use, like the trigger release for the beaters, beaters easy to clean
