I finally decided to treat myself to a new hand mixer, and this one doesn't disappoint. I was amazed at how fast I could beat egg whites to stiff peaks. The lowest speed is almost as fast as the highest speed on my old mixer. This means it's difficult to mix dry ingredients without a cloud billowing up. As a result I mix by hand until the flour is incorporated and then use the mixer after that. I wish the lowest speed was a bit lower.

I received the Cusinart hand mixer as a Christmas present to replace another brand that had recently stopped working. I love the look of this hand mixer, love that it rests on its base, and has enough power to mix everything I need! I gave it one less star, because I have trouble getting one of the blades to stay in. I think I figured it out, but I still have to fiddle with it when I'm ready to use it. Also, they have a reusable cord band for organizing the cord, which is a great extra.....not sure how long it will last. Overall, I love this gift!
