I purchased this mixer based on the reputation of Cuisinart and the shape of the mixing blades. The round blades make clean up a breeze, and no clogged blades! I was a little surprised at how fast even the slowest speed was, but adjusted easily as I used the mixer. I did notice a bit of a drag while creaming butter and sugar, which lead me to think it may not handle stiffer dough as easily as looser batters and egg whites. For me, that's just fine. Overall, I am pleased with this mixers performance.

We've been happy with other Cuisinart products so we replaced an "old faithful" GE with a 5 speed Cuisinart mixer. After 50+ years in the kitchen, this is our favorite hand held mixer ever. We initially were shopping for a 9 speed, but have found 5 speeds are plenty. It is powerful, a comfortable weight, and easy to use. The swivel cord is a nice feature and the simple design of the beaters is excellent (love how they attach and eject; very secure). Yes, there are much less expensive options, but this mixer has been worth the premium price.

Speeds are too fast. It has plenty of power but needs slower speeds. Also I have had issues with the dough working it’s way up into where the beaters attach to the motor which makes cleanup difficult. A little disk on the beater blades would help.

The first time I used it i was making cream cheese frosting. The rotary on the right broke while mixing. I was lucky I had already finished my batch of macarons.

I've only used it once so I need a little more time with it. It seemed that the first speed is really high, I like to ease into mixing so things don't go flying all over. And the thin wire beaters don't seem to mix as well as the thicker beaters.

Everything about this appliance would be great except for one fatal flaw. The lowest speed is way to high. I tried to cream butter and sugar and my ingredients went flying around the room. It is supposed to get started slowly and build up but it doesn't. I can't imagine what to use it for that won't make a mess like that.
