I always use Oster previously, but their products have a tendency to break where the beaters are, so after my last Oster mixer got stripped again, I decided to try another brand. I choose Cuisinart because of the speed. I make cakes and need to whip the icing and need a really powerful mixer. While Cuisinart doesn't compare with Oster, I am glad that I chose this brand. I was pleasantly surprised with the power of this model and the easy to release beaters. As far as how long it lasts, time will tell.

This is a replacement for an older Cuisinart Mixer but I like the old model better. The cord on this newer model is so hard to turn around to plug in.

I bought this hand mixer a month ago; just before the holidays it works great! It has great power, lots of speed choices for my baking needs and is super easy to clean. I highly recommend.It replaced my Black & Decker which lasted less than a year and never had as much power even when it was brand new.

I bought this to replace an ancient wonderful old stand mixer that finally bit the dust. I have no room or need for such a big one, but I have unhappy memories of several old hand mixers that precede it years ago. I was very pleasantly surprised by the solidness and heft of the this mixer, despite its light weight. I'm very sarisfied, as I have been by the small food processor I bought some time ago .
