I purchased the Power Advantage hand mixer as a replacement to my 50 year old stand mixer. The reason I chose a hand mixer is that I wanted some easy to use and not as bulky as the stand mixer. But I also wanted something that would be reliable and powerful enough to use for different applications.

Great hand mixer. I use it for sponge cake, pound cake and ever pie crust. It's very sturdy and the wire type beaters are well made. It's powerful and has a high quality feel. I haven't pulled the stand mixer out since this hand mixer arrived

This beater beats them all, Features that I love are the swivel cord and the power, there's always a higher gear to kick it in if you need it. Also one other thing to note, the mixing action really makes your dough/egg whites really thoroughly and fluffy, I believe that it is due to the angular blades. When most beaters just smash the dough together this unit actually mixes it like it should be.

Needs to have slower speeds and needs to have a set of standard straight "finned" beaters w it also, like most other hand mixers come with standard.
