after 18 months my microwave sensor went going off telling me the keypad needs service with some error code and won't even start and its not like we use it that often after paying so much it quit on me, sometimes better off buying some of these little cheap ones now am with out a microwave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

after using for 6 months the paint started peeling

after using for 6 month the paint started peeling off, by the time I got around to call GE it was out of warrenty.
I purchased 10 other GE models for my office and with in 8 months 2 of them did not work any more a repair man can out and adjusted the door, now it works but the doors are very hard to shut

After owning our GE countertop micowave for 16 months it has died. Don't plan to buy another GE micro.

Problems with door latch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oven is easy to use and cooks food evenly. However, after just two months of use, we started having trouble with the door latch. Sometimes it won't open. It operates as intended only about half the time.

This microwave heats very well, evenly & boy o' boy is it fast. It is great in quality and function. However the fan on my unit was defective from the start. That doesn't affect its cooking ability though.
I would recommend this to a friend!
