Great printer

I had been using a lower quality inkjet printer for photos, and now that I am selling my photos I spent a good deal of time researching for a new printer. Very happy with the Canon Pixma 9000, and having a great deal of fun with it!
Pros: High Quality Output, easy to use, reliable

I had been using Canon with lower quality Inkjet. but this Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II Profssional quality photo ,beatifal prints And professional levels.

Good Printer

I like the printer but I have a complaint. I had an i9900 which I had to replace, because you cannot get parts. The i9900 had better ink color quality, for printing invitations etc. much sharper colors. I put in a color formula and the sharpness of the color is not there -- much duller in comparison to what I would get from the same formula on my i9900. Miss my old printer. No comparison with the ink colors for printing.
Pros: High Productivity, Good Media Handling, durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, reliable
Cons: High Running Cost, Large Footprint

Easy set-up. Quality printing. Disappointed that the Easy Photo Pro does not work with Photoshop Elements 7 or beyond.

Set up EASY

I purchased the Pixma 9000 for my daughter who has been interested in photography for a couple of years but has not been able to print her pics. We read the reviews and decided to go with this printer. The only con in the reviews that worried us were the comments regarding difficulty setting up the printer. I even asked the salesperson about this and he suggested we go to the Canon website and download the latest software for setup. I couldn't figure out how to do this so I just decided to go with the install software that came with the computer. IT WAS SO EASY and install was complete in about 5 mnutes. I never made it through the entire EXECUTE and ALIGN THE PRINTER process. I don't know what happened, but on a whim I thought I would print a pic anyway to see if the printer was working and it was perfect. So INSTALL was a breeze. We gave the product ratings a high score even though we just go it yesterday. The test picture that we printed was stunning.
Pros: Easy Setup, durable, High Quality Output, fast print speed

Beautiful pictures, when it works
I have been trying to print 4 X 6 prints for a week now.
Used multiple graphics programs,searched through all options and Help files, this is the most frustrating printer I ever owned.
Hooked up to 2 different computers..same result 4 X 6s come out at about 2 X 2.5 no matter what you set for paper or print size
Have printed many 8.5 X 11s and they are perfect.
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output
Cons: Difficult to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Even setting it to print black & white it sucks up ink
