I don't understand why you discontinued this model we really love it it was easy to use right out of the box. no problems with setup. I didn't think it had been for sale very long at all.

Excellent LED/LCD TV

We bought two of these in September, 2009. They have worked flawlessly since then. The TV has a vast number of user-accessible picture controls. If you don't have these set correctly and use the factory-default selections you will be unhappy with the picture. I found back in October 2009 on the AVS Forum website a recommended set of adjustments that produced an excellent picture with black blacks and not overly saturated greens and reds. White is bright but doesn't burn holes in your retinea.
The audio quality is the best I have had in a TV with built-in speakers in 40 years. I have no need for an external home theater system.
My only complaint is that the TV didn't have a built-in headphone jack. I bought an inexpensive home theater receiver that had a digital optical audio input to solve the problem.
Although the 47 and 55LH90 are now discontinued they are still available at a local regional major appliance and electronics retailer that has just moved into the NE USA market.

When I purchased this T.V., it was the best rated, and by far the best priced option for a fully LED backlit LED T.V. I have to agree, the picture is amazing, and the price was great, about half of what a fully LED backlit Samsung was going for. My favorite part of the TV is the advanced calibration settings, if you use them properly you can get the picture nearly perfect without having to pay hundreds for a professional calibration. The settings are much more detailed than other TVs on the market.
The only feature that I would liked to have seen is the ability to play video files off of USB devices.

I had looked at different models and brands, but the LG continued to be the best one I would see. I had the opportunity to see many different tv's side by side and the LG was clearly the best value. The quality of the picture and the features clearly out performed all of them. I bought the LG because of all the features it had to offer over all others.

The picture on my LG is brilliant, with unbelievable contrast. We do not yet have an external surround system, but do not suffer from poor quality sound. But knowing the efficiency of the LED backlit screen is satisfying. Yes, nice style and design, but its the performance that counts to me and my wife.

This is the 2nd LG television I have purchased. It is without a doubt a great television to own. The video settings are second to none in it's class. The full led back lighting allows for great consistency in contrast across the screen vs other tvs on the market with only edge lighting. The result is a much better image, and it was for a much cheaper price.
I am officially hooked on LG televisions.

The new LG 47LH90 has to be one of the most incredible TV's on the market with the new LED system.
Ease of installation and ease of use are key steps to enjoy the next level of HD viewing. The clarity that ordinary objects can be viewed with is stunning.
Absolutely the best TV experience I have had ever and that goes back to snowy black & white pictures using rabbit ears.
