amazing TV aside from the BUZZZING!!!

got my Samsung PN50B860 last week and mounted it on the wall.... tv looks so sexy and the picture quality is amazing!!! BUT I want to shoot myself after about 10 minutes of watching TV because of load buzzing.... blasting the volume to try to drown the buzz is annoying and I am getting headaches now from the constant "bee-hive noise".... I am sitting about 12 feet away from the TV. So I called Samsung and they sent out a repairman who said this was normal buzzing!!! WHAT?!?!?!? (he was an older gentleman - probably a little hard of hearing) so after i made him sit down in front of it for about 5 minutes (with the volume on low, like how i have it in the evenings) he agreed that it was louder than 'normal' and that he would order parts for it.... however, based on reading peoples responses on the internet, sounds like there is no real "fix" for it yet (maybe the new rubber washer trick on the Y-board will work).... as of now, i am so disappointed in this TV and would hate to switch to a Panasonic Plasma or downgrade to a Samsung LCD TV (just to have a quite set).... When spening this much for a plasma TV, you expect the best quality, if not you can buy 50" sets now for under $700....

Great Looking but problems

I'll keep this short...
The TV is gorgeous out of the box. It simply looks great, very stylish all around. The picture is also great, deep blacks (as you would expect from a plasma). Settings are easy to move through, lots of options and very intuitive.
The bad... like others have said, my TV has a very loud BUZZ. It sounds like the normal "plasma buzz" that plasma TVs give off but 10 times as loud. I can hear it from 12 feet back with the volume at 15. It ruins the TV experience. I have contacted Samsung and their customer service was very understanding and helpful in setting up a service call, so that's a plus.
However upon doing some more searching it seems like MANY more people with 2009 plasmas are experiencing the same problem.. And that's a huge bummer because aside from this major issue, the TV is a 9+ in picture/value/style.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After almost 4 weeks with this TV, I'm very impressed with the stunning images on sports, movies and regular cable programming. I have a fairly bright room and was worried about using a plasma there, but the picture is very bright and the anti-glare glass on the display works really well. I've read numerous reviewers here commenting on the 'buzzing' issue. I don't have any perceptible buzz. The remote and menus are easy to use. I couldnt be more satisfied.

Well, I love what this set could be. That is, if it didn't buzz and annoy me while watching it, i'd be in love. Great design, great picture, great extras....bad buzz. The buzzing noise is not a normal plasma buzz, i've done plenty of research on this tv and I even went and listened to other plasmas...this isn't a normal noise....it's an annoying noise. Samsung has been helpful thus far though, I have a repair guy coming to look at it...though I know from my research they will fail to fix it. From what i've heard, you either get a buzzer or you don't. So hopefully I can get it exchanged and get a nonbuzzing set, otherwise I will seek a refund and wait for the 8500!

Some people report problems of buzzing from this plasma, I've not experienced any problems at all after 60 days of use. Just a great product, great price and awesome picture quality.....
I would recommend this to a friend!

Outstanding TV

I have had this set for about 4 weeks now and just love it. I watch a lot of sports and the picture is outstanding. The colors are very true. It's almost like watching the game in person. I looked at a lot of plasma TV's. It came down to the Samsung and Sony Bravia. For me the color quallity was the biggest factor that made me choose the Samsung. I have had no problem with the buzzing sound experienced by others. In fact this TV is so quiet I can't hear any kind of buzzing noise at all.

1 Month in. This plasma outperforms it's competion hands down. No buzzing, truely awesome picture. Style is great. Now the bad, the audio is horrible, it has several settings, none perform well. You need an outside source for the audio.Overall the best out there

This tv is incredible, amazing picture! Glad I got the plasma. amazing thin and great picture. With blue ray dont want to watch my regular dvds anymore. Great with 360 for gaming. Only buzzing is when you put your ear right next to it in the back. Beautifull looks
