It doesn't get better than this!

After much research, I made this incredible purchase. To watch this LCD by Samsung, you think that you are looking at 3-D. The News and Weather broadcasts in high definition, on cable, are definitely 3-D like. The Phillies and the Eagles also appear as if you are actually there, only better. You can actually see the players faces as well as the fans in the stands. The 4mhz speed of the LCD screen as well as the auto motion plus 120 hz is absolutely phenominal. The sound is so realistic and clear! I have to say that after a month, my family and I are extremely happy with the LN40B630. It is PERFECT! It really is. And did I say that it is energy efficient as well...

Replacement set.

Under my warranty, Samsung replaced my LN40A630 TV with the LN40B630. I had the LN40A630 for approx. 2 months before some of the pixels died. (green vertical line) The picture quality of the LN40B is much nicer than the LN40A. Maybe the LN40A I bought was a lemon because it had high remarks from reviews. Eitherway I could not be happier with the replacement. The LN40B has a beautiful clear crisp picture.
Sansung was quick to replace my TV when my set went out. I just hope this one last for years of enjoyment.

Best Picture Quality For The Price!

I shopped for LCD TV's for months before buying this one. One thing I would do when I walked into a store that sold HDTVs was to pick the ones with the best display before I was close enough to pick the brand. Almost without exception, I ended up picking a Samsung. The 600 series exceeds the picture quality of all in this price range and even the more pricey 120 hz systems. Tops Sony's 240 hz also. Nothing short of an LED LCD or a Plasma will beat it.
Pros: Setup is easy especially with other Samsung products. Setup menu is self explainitory. Picture quality is GREAT in HD.
CONS: Very minor ones. The controls on the TV are almost invisable. The TV will default to "TV" as the signal source when you turn off the Blueray even when HDMI is the primary source.
TIP: When comparing, have the sales person switch the TVs to a regular HD broadcast instead of the in-house feed. It brings out the best and worst and gives a better idea of what it will look like at home.

OUTRAGEOUS

What can I say but this is the best TV I have ever owned. I love the 120Hz and I also have the samsung bluray player BD-P1600 and it makes you feel like you wasted your money on upconverting dvd players. The picture is so unbelievable that I purchased this same model but 52" for my family room. I am in samsung heaven. CSI Miami has colors I have never seen before.

Great LCD

Just purchased the LN40B630. Absolutely great picture when viewing Bluray off my PS3. I also hooked it up to my 3 yr old OPPO upconverting DVD player. Although not as good as the bluray picture, it was much better than I had expected and a big leap over the way it looked on my old 720P LCD. I think the biggest improvement is the 120Hz anti-blur motion control.
BTW, my old LCD was a samsung LN-R328W purchased as a christmas present back in Dec, 2005 (4 years ago). There is some miinor burn-in, but it still working great after 4 years. But this LN40B630 is a giant leap ahead of that old samsung in terms of picture quality (contrast and anti-blur).

I had vizio 32" TV previously when compared to it samsung is the best tv. I have seen other brand tv's in my friend's house. but this was the best i have ever seen. With HD channels the clarity and picture quality is excellent. I watched super bowl in this tv, it was awesome.
Thanks

This Samsung was purchased to upgrade in size and in contrast to a 32 inch Sony HD1080 @ 60hz. I had shopped around for several 40 inch with 120hz. This Samsung had the best contrast ratio at 80,000/1 in its class. Boy I am glad I chose the less expensive and Higher contrast. The Samsung has some great presets for contrast, and still lets you tweek everything if you're really picky about gettting colors and contrasts just so. The menus are simple and easy to navigate and even can be magnified. It has all the latest connections save for an s/video connection. That was my only shortcoming that I came up with. Had to switch my Xbox back to yellow video rca jack. Otherwise everything connected and looks great. Its a much brighter picture, but the blacks are still nice and dark and can be made even darker in the settings. Best physically looking and best picture TV I have ever purchased.
