Make more of these please!

I had used this trimmer over 4 years then suddenly one day when I went to plug the charger in it would no longer charge. Now I'm disappointed that I cannot buy another one just like it. Make more of this same unit Phillips.

Make The T980 Again Please

This was the best trimmer that I have ever owned. After numerous years the battery finally went. Now I can't find this particular trimmer, nor one even remotely close to it. I have purchased 4 trimmers recently trying to get the results that I had become accustomed to, and not one of the Philips Norelco Trimmers comes close. At this point, I am going to have to look outside of the Philips Norelco Family to find one, which is something that I didn't think would be necessary. PLEASE START MAKING A Philips Norelco Trimmer EXACTLY LIKE THIS. WHY WOULD YOU NOT?
Pros: best trimmer ever owned
Cons: no longer made

T980 was last good Norelco trimmer

I've been using Norelco beard trimmers since the early/mid '90s (which, to date, amounts to 3 trimmers). The T980 was the second one I got after the first one stopped working; it was the first with a vacuum. It was absolutely perfect--easy to use and just as easy to clean. A perfect design all around.
But Norelco stopped making these or anything even like them. Their latest and greatest does the job, I suppose, but is extremely hard to clean and less easy to use (poorly shaped).
If Norelco ever offers the T980 again or something similarly easy to clean, then I'll start buying Norelco trimmers again... but not until then.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Why discontinue a winner

Second one after many years with the first till it died, now the replacement died and Norelco doesn't make this model anymore for, ??? reason. Maybe some guys like losing all those groovy little click on gauges, I do not, nor do they trim as accurately as this simple but more effective dial up device. Bring back a winner of a trimmer and make your customers happy, (Been using this model for well over 10 years)

They just keep getting better ~ this is my third Philips trimmer.
- The extra speed Turbo cuts better than my older Philips trimmers (which I didn't know was possible)
- The vacuum is very convenient (which I did not expect)
- The adjustable trimmer guard is totally reliable and is the best I have ever used
- The cord/cordless feature is another real improvement over the either/or of past models
- the ergonomics are even better than before
- The extra speed Turbo cuts better than my older Philips trimmers (which I didn't know was possible)
- The vacuum is very convenient (which I did not expect)

great for beard trimming

No mess with this vacuum featured beard trimmer with receptacle to catch the trimmed hair. Highly recommended. It is rechargable and the charge seems to last for quite some time. When internal battery is discharged, you can use the trimmer with the charging cord plugged in, so you won't have to wait to recharge to finsih trimming it if it dies while you're using it.
Pros: rechargable

best trimmer yet

Best trimmer I ever found. Unfortunately, after 4 years it would not charge. None of the new Norelco trimmers work as good. Most trim pretty good but non seem to vacuum as good, leaving more hare in/on the sink. Please bring this one back!!!!!
Pros: great trim and vacuum.
