MOLD!! I would NOT buy this again.

We started using this at bedtime when our son got congested from a cold. We used it for two nights and on the third night, when the air came out it smelled musty. I opened it up and the filter was black, brown, and growing fuzzy MOLD already!!!! How can something that's supposed to keep babies safe and comfortable mold that quickly and easily? There's obviously something wrong with the way or with material the filters are made out of. How ridiculous to have to change them not every 1000 hours like they claim, but every day?! I will not be using this humidifier anymore and will not be buying anymore Vornado products. Lost my trust and business.
Pros: Easy To Use, Not Messy
Cons: Mold
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Humidifier great, light annoying

This is an awesome humidifier, but the light that turns on when you're supposed to refill it is very annoying. It comes on in the middle of the night and lights up the whole room. Even if I fill it up at bedtime by 3:00am the light is on. I appreciate the notification, but why so bright?

Wish they would sell the old filters

I have 2 Vornado Hueys and love that they don't use antibacterial Microban or Nano particles inside it like other companies do. But I am so disappointed that they have added antibacterials to their filters now. It's not nanosilver or microban but if it says to wash your hands after touching, I don't want it in my children's room. Now I will be stuck with 2 Hueys I can't use when my supply of old wicks is gone. I wish Vornado would sell both and let consumers choose.

Great Nursery Humidifier

Overall the Huey is a great humidifier. It was very easy to set up and it has a very sleek design. The package mentions there is an odor when you first use it. It is actually pretty strong so I am glad I originally set it up and let it run a few hours in the larger living room than in my daughters bedroom. One thing I like about the Huey compared to other humidifiers is the small fill bottle. Others tend to be very heavy and for moms who just had c-sections with weight limitations, this is a great feature. I also like that they have various fan and humidity functions to keep the room at the optimal level. I also think the Huey is a lot quieter than the humidifier I was using previously. There are a few downsides though. First, mine does not allow me to choose the auto function for the unit to turn on and off based on the humidity in the room so I keep it on the low setting and it runs consistently. Two, the Huey lights up when you need to re-fill the tank. This, in theory, is a great function unless your mom brain forgets to re-fill it and your baby wakes up in the middle of the night from the light turning on. It is very bright! Overall, I am much happier with this humidifier than my other one and would certainly recommend it to a friend.

Cons: Indicator light is bright, No nightlight option

Allergies? NO PROBLEM ANYMORE!

I have used several different humidifiers both cool must and warm mist. Warm mist ones seem to be the only ones that help with my daughters allerergies. The only problem is they make everything in the room wet which eventually leave water marks on the ceiling and can cause mold on windows. The Huey is the only humidifier that helps my daughters allergies and doesn't leave a wet mist all over the room. Not only does it work better the others I've used it is very easy to clean and holds more water.
Pros: Attractive, Convenient Use, Easy To Clean, Sturdy Construction

Amazing Humidifier that delivers!!!

I am the parent of two children. With the first child we purchased a cheap humidifier and we were not pleased. We constantly had a film accumulating on our child's furniture. Also it was noisy. With the birth of our second child we received two Huey's humidifiers. We started using it 2 weeks ago and have seen amazing results. Their is no mist, that can set off fire alarms like our old, cheap one, it isn't even detectable. It is a very quiet unit. One of the nicest options is the auto button. You can set the humidity level you would like and it turns on when needed. My last one, you had to refill every night because it constantly ran. This one I fill a couple times a week. This humidifier is the best one I have used yet. We have a very dry house and both my children are using Huey's now. We are planning to get a third one for our room. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has dry air issues.

We began using this when our baby had a bad cold. There was a very noticeable difference when he slept and the humidifier was used vs when it was not used. It's a very nice humidifier, has many options such as having the fan on and different humidity percentages. It's mist free and doesn't leave a film like other humidifiers sometimes do. Refilling the water tank is simple and easy where our previous humidifier was awkward and bulky when refilling. The only downside is the price. When expecting a baby there are so many items you need and I'm not sure a high priced humidifier is something most parents would see as a must have when there are so many others on the market at a much lower price. However, it is an item that one could put on their registry for a baby shower.
Pros: Convenient Use, Mist Free, Quiet, Sturdy Construction

Great product for baby's room

I've had it in the baby's room for alittle while now and very pleased with its performance. It's been an easy set up and maintainable. It makes practically no noise, and I like that there is no white residue that other products leave. Also since it's not shaped like a frog or a turtle, my baby doesn't want to play with it, win.
