I have had my printer for a few years and I love it. The pictures come out so clear. I also like the fact that you can print in B&W if you prefer. The only complaint I have is that you cannot buy just the photo paper by itself, you have to buy the color ink to get the paper
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

After one year, the paper handling mechanism of this printer becomes unreliable. The newer es-40 model provides much better alternative as the paper and the film are integrated in one package.
Pros: Compact Design, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: unreliable

Changed my previous bad review to good.

Before I rated the driver on this as bad. Because of the way Windows uninstalls programs, I could not remove the driver to start with a fresh install. The uninstaller could not fix this. What I did was unplug printer from the USB port and went into the CONTROL PANEL/DEVICES AND PRINTERS and click on any printer icon then the PRINT SERVER PROPERTIES tab to select the Selphy CP780 and deleted it. Rebooted Windows. Run the Selphy driver install. It will ask you to plug the printer into a USB port to complete the process. That's it. Works fine now. The Uninstall program needs to work better. It was useless.

Love the CP Line but not the CP780

I loved my CP 100. When it finally died I was excited to get the CP 780. To my dismay, it often jams and requires sacraficing an entire film load to fix it $$$$$!. AND, the color is always too dark. Whether printing from the computer or directly from our canon camera. Maybe I got a bad unit? Already spent lots of money on film and paper. Not sure if I want another one.
Pros: image resolution, value
Cons: unreliable, too dark
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy, Portable

I have used this Printer for the 5 times it can print with the sample pack. After borrowing a friend's I wanted a small printer for Scrapbooking on the go, and am very pleased with this one. It works just like the other ones in that you need to be sure nothing is behind it since the paper goes out the back. The 2 and 4 up options lets me make smaller photos without wasting paper. The paper is safely stored in the trey when not in use. It sets up in a few seconds. The only thing I wish it could do is crop and straighten an image.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
Cons: limited photo correction/adjustment

Great product

My wife and I bought this printer and a Canon A480 camera for her 85 yr. old father. He has never had a digital camera and doesn't own a computer. I plugged the printer in and without reading one word of the owners manual had a printed picture in minutes. It is VERY intuitive, shove a memory card with pictures in, push the on button and scroll through your pictures. When the one you want is in the LCD window push the print button and viola you get a perfect print. We were fascinated by the way the paper runs in and out as the printer added the layers of color.

This Selphy 780 was a Christmas gift. I found it extremely easy to set up and use even though I am not technically adept at such things. The print quality is outstanding. After printing out about 100 photos I am very happy with it. The compactness makes it very desirable for transporting.
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
Cons: High Ink Consumption
