Do not buy

We had 4 service calls within 2 months. Ice maker motor died. Cheap plastic parts broke. Ice dispenser clogs and drips water down front of stainless steel. Also clogged ice melts than shoots out of dispenser onto floor. Open freezer door and ice maker dumps ice on floor. Design of shelves in refrigerator is poor. Ice maker on door has frost problem. When freezer defrosts itself, a steady stream of water drips noisily into the pan underneath the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this refrigerator two years ago and I can't WAIT to replace it!! The ice maker is a nightmare. What I thought would be a great idea, with the ice bucket in the door, has turned out to be disastrous. Half the time, Ice cubes fall everywhere except the basket. I pull more cubes from the bottom of the freezer than from the bucket. In the summer with the humidity, the darn thing freezes up and no ice dispenses AT ALL until it's totally emptied (by hand) and then pushed and pulled and poked with an ice pick to get it dislodged from its base and cleaned out. My advice if you're looking at this refrigerator is to RUN! Oh, yes, and it makes a lot of noise when it's running, too.

this products has problems with ice dispenser dripping water

water will drip from ice dispenser door all the time, auger willbust ice cubes, chips will stay in shut and melt over time. This happens more on crushed ice but will happen on cube too.If this problem could be corrected ref. is good buy. Also needto solve water fill line freezes and on some auger bucket freezes.

Worse quality ever

Since the first-week plastic drawers started to malfunction. Ice dispenser engine broke right after the first year. Now, door shelves plastic is cracking. I will never buy another whirlpool refrigerator.

This is a good product with a few tweaks it could be the best product on the market. Minor additions could help make this fridge a silent runner. This product is very air tight which is a great feature but at times it makes the doors hard to open. A device should be designed that will keep it air tight but allow for a smoother opening. The ice maker on the door is why we purchased this fridge. It is a great feature because it allows for more freezer space that is always needed. A slightly deeper inset or larger bottom for the water and ice dispenser would also make for a good selling point. The simplest thing would be to design a bottom that could pull out about an inch when needed. I am a believer in easy solutions and I would design a feature that with a press of a button rolling wheels could be lowered to make the item easy to move for cleaning, etc. purposes.Thanks for the chance to enter your program.

This refrigerator has been working fine since we bought it 5 mos. ago. We've had no issues except that the ice maker is loud. It's not terribly loud, but loud enough for me to mention it. For the price, its an excellent value. Its not as heavy on the bells and whistles, but then again, i didnt pay for or even want bells and whistles. It's a very good refrigerator and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

I had many Whirpool refrigerators. This one came with my new home & is NOT what I would have purchased.It is noisy enough to keep you up at night. Doors are not even with each other.Very unhappy with this product & would not recommend this to anyone. SORRYNormally I like Whirlpool & was very happy I with your product

Problematic

We have had repairs on this in its short 5 year life. The evaporated went out. The icemaker has quit three times. The icemaker door doesn't close well and freezes the bottom layer of ice. Now the refrigerator side gas stopped cooling.
