This monitor is great. I was skeptical at first because the reviews I read seemed a little generous. I checked PC magazine and they rated it high so I purchased it. I now have three within my home.

Great Monitor

This monitor is the perfect size. 1920x1080 true size for those blu-ray movies. But I actually use it for work so I dont play blu-rays much but I don't think a better, more clearer monitor is made than by HP. I have 3 HP laptops, 2 Compaq laptops and this is my second HP monitor (I also have a 21 inch). I love HP monitors.

Beautiful screen

Love my new HDMI flat panel monitor with BrightView panel. It's a pleasure to see everything in sharp contrast. My only problem is that the speakers which are in the monitor, are not strong enough for me. However, I am hearing impaired, so I have enhanced it with additional speakers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

the screen is awesome and wet very sleek picture to it. I got my computer last year and for some reason the monitor which was a 19" went out they said it was back light that blew so I went to Bestbuy and got a little bigger one with warranty to expensive to not have one of those! :)

Superb Monitor at a great price!

I searched many widescreen, high definition monitors prior to selecting the HP w2338h both online and by performing viewing comparisons in several stores. Compared to others at this size, the HP was clearly the best - bright colors and shades, and extraordinarily well made. Others at or near this size, were not as bright and even some very well known brands appeared to have washed out colors in comparison. As typical with HP products, it was a breeze to unpack, setup and install - now if I can just keep my kids off it long enough for me to use it (both use this system for graphics) which seems unlikely; I guess I'll have to go out and buy another one for my use. Thank you HP for once again delivering an outstanding product.

pros - nice colors, full 1080p, bright screen, pretty quick replacement.
cons - worked only 85 days. a vertical blue line appeared on the right side of the screen.

I really liked it until it broke. HP will send a replacement (refurbished). Kind of wished I would have just bought a refurbished model to begin with instead of paying for a new model and ending up with a refurbished model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
