Terrific tablet!

The Slate 7 honestly exceeded my expectations in almost every regard. Fast, powerful, and very easy to use. Battery life is a little on the low side, 3-4 hours, but that is with fairly heavy usage. All of my favorite apps work just fine and the Slate 7 compliments my Touchpad nicely. Honestly a shame they didn't keep the Touchpad going, but this little tablet has helped ease my pain. Nice job HP!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really love my HP Slate 7, it has everything I want in a Tablet. It's light weight, easy to grip so it never feels like it may slip out of your hand. The Android OS is new to me, so this is simply a learning process, but I love everything about the devise.
On the downside the Kindle app appears to be incompatible, the app would not read any books I attempted to transfer in from my PC, this was frustrating at first, tech support tried to assist but were unable to resolve, so I loaded a good eReader from the Play store, and all is good now.
Well done HP, overall a very nice product at a very good price, therefore I would recommend this to everyone.

Love the size and weight of the Slate 7

I love my Slate 7. It fits perfectly in my hand, it's easy to use and it's fast. The camera is good and I do like that it has the front and rear cameras. So far the battery holds it's charge well. I do wish it came with a user's manual and I wish it came in red.
I only have 2 issues with it.
1. Google Chrome locks it up.
2. In my email account I have 2 trash folders. You cannot delete from one of the folders, you have to click on each message and drag them to the other trash folder. And to delete from that folder you have to click on each message. There's no way to select a group of messages. Very time consuming and frustrating.
These are the reasons I didn't give the Slate 7 an excellent in the features catagory.
I only have 2 issues with it.

Although not "top of the line" in the tablet world, the HP Slate does everything I need it for. Skype, web browsing, e-mail and Facebook are my primary apps and all perform admirably. The only drawbacks are speed when a lot of apps are running, and battery life could be better (but I never turn it off either!) Overall I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The only reason I did not give it a full 5 stars is cause of the screen size; However, for the price, and the performance, I can accept the smaller screen size. With the apps available for download this has already (in 4 days) become a very valuable tool for me.

I read kindle books and use Slate for email and find it to be excellent for my use. I'm not a gamer so I can't review the product for games. I own an iPad and I can say for my use Slate compares favorably with my iPad. I will review Slate again after I used it for a longer period.I would have given it five stars but the camera is not adequate in low light and is the only complaint I have on the product but for the price I am satisfied.

The Slate 7 took a bit of getting used to, especially since I'm used to how Apple products work. I found that it was not intuitively obvious to navigate around the applications and the screens. I found that many of the basic functions I was looking for were not pre-installed, such as the ability to open up some basic documents attached to e-mails.
I also found that there were some applications on the Play Store which are not compatible with the Slate 7, which is frustrating.
Although the display may not be a vibrant as the iPad, it doesn't affect the functionality. Maybe I'll think differently when I watch a movie on it.
