It has no documentation at all, it assumes you know all about how the system works and there is no where to find any information . it is very slow, drops what ever you are trying to do with the slightest movement, any attempt to download an ap causes a freeze. it seems like an old style MS Webtv that I had 20 years ago. I cannot even download email from google, or access google chrome or any web content. It is a paper weight that costs too much. As bad buying decision

In general, the product is nice to use... just some small features that are still under development that spoil the overall experience, such as screen orientation...

Limited features and display

I feel like I paid too much money for too little product with this device.
I am not a big fan of Android anyway, and this device seems to exaggerated my dislikes about the operating environment.
The device seems to function properly, but does not excel at any one thing. The only possible stand-out feature is the Beats audio; which is nice, but not distinctive enough to make it noteworthy on its own.

Great product for kids.

I purchased two tablets for my kids and it is a just right fit for them. The sound does not get very loud. At first I thought that this was a bummer, but it has turned out to be a blessing since I am still saying, "Turn it down."
I did purchase extra SD cards because they download apps often and some of the apps need ample storage. Also, a few of the learning websites that they like to frequent cannot be accessed because chrome for android does not support the plug-in to play the games.
When I asked the kids what the tablet was lacking, their reply was a stylus!
I would recommend this to a friend!

unreliable product not for professionals

The Slate 7 failed during the first 21 days! It reset itself and erased all the materials that I had downloaded to it. It came without the necessary applications for office productivity that one could reasonably expect it to have: It does not have a file manager, a note taking application; it cannot install MS Office Readers, let alone the programs themselves, like Word, Excel, and Note One. It is basically a passive devise for reading downloaded books, not an interactive one for professionals.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Product has great features - HP Slate & Tablet is very easy to use - very intuitive - and it was very easy to set-up (out of the box start up, setup, and configuration)!
