I puchased this oven over 9 yrs ago, and never had a problem with it. Cooks, toasts, bakes, roasts, etc. So worth the cost.. The price and cuts the electricity bill.. The oven is a more costly unit since you justt plug this in. Fantastic.... This is marvelous.

I purchased this Smart Oven in 2005 and the bottom heating element just went out. It does have the creaking door, but that only started about a few months ago. Overall, I would purchase, and am now purchasing a replacement! Well worth the investment, so not sure why others have had such bad experiences.

This is my second oven. I have been using my first one for ten years and it still works. Time for a new one. I use this oven almost exclusively. Doesn't heat up my kitchen. Bakes perfectly. I bake cookies, broil stakes which are delicious, and slow cook roasts which come out tender and full of flavor. A must have for every kitchen.Kitty

Fan broke after only 9 months

We really liked this toaster oven until the fan broke after only nine months of use. While Breville is willing to try to fix the issue, we will be without our oven for at least three weeks, which I consider unacceptable. I would advise looking elsewhere for a more reliable unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
