Performs perfectly. I live in Florida. Love to cook in the oven but don’t want to heat up the house with the regular oven. This is the best. I cook perfect roasts and/or cakes. There is a special setting for frozen pizza and a special setting for cookies. Even toast is perfect. Customer service is also above expectations
Best toaster oven ever. If you doubt it, get an in oven thermostat to read the temps on your existing toaster oven and watch as the temperature wanders around at +/- 50 degrees. Then try that with the Breville. You can actually USE a Brevill as a small oven not just to heat unevenly your leftovers.
Brought this as Xmas gift so started using Dec 27 4 days ago it started shutting off with E05 code have written to you will see how this is handled brought one for son too. The funny thing is the one I got rid of still worked but wanted new one for new kitchen it was 12 years old never any issues guess they do not make them as well.

This is my second oven of this model. My last one was old and just finally quit working one day and I loved it so much, I repeated it; please, NEVER stop producing this little, great oven.
Convection fan burnt out in under 1.5 years. Price value assessment is way off
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A HUGE cut above any other "toaster oven" I've seen. We have owned and used toaster ovens at our home for over 20 years. Before talking about the Breville Smart Oven, let me make comment on those "other" toaster ovens. Other toaster ovens are great for simple tasks like toasting bread, toasting nuts, roasting peppers, warming tortillas or the like. However, those other toaster ovens do not provide uniform nor constant heat (even toasting is typically uneven). On occasion, we would try simple baking tasks like muffins or scones in those other toaster ovens with terrible results. We wouldn't even dream of trying a souffle' in one. We have now owned the Breville Smart Oven for a couple of months and are extremely impressed. It is our go-to oven for most baking tasks. It pre-heats faster and uses FAR less energy than our large wall oven. It maintains precise temperature throughout the oven (if you use the convection fan). We would recommend this oven without hesitation to any serious home cook with two caveats. First, use the MIDDLE rack position when baking (if space permits). Using the recommended bottom rack is too close to the heating elements and darkens the bottom of your muffins, quiche, etc. more than is desirable. Second, use the convection fan all of the time (and appropriately adjust time and/or temperature). Without the convection fan, we found significant temperature variation in the oven - as one would expect in a small oven.
