A giant step up from the Note 3. Smooth operating and just better in every aspect.

My Note 4 is my walking library. I could not function well without it. This is my 2nd year using this product, it is fast, durable, and easy to use. I store all of my appointments, numbers and notes. Also has a great camera.
Pros: great camera

I have had my note 4 for a little more tgan a month and I am loving it!! The screen is a great size and images are shart and clear!! I can actually hear it ring when it's in my purse too!! The sound is nice and clear and it takes nice pictures too!! Glad I finally joined tge smartphone revolution with this phone!!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Built-in speakers
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horrible experience. I was so excited for this phone. It finally came in the mail, I charged it and started setting it up. Then left to bring my kid to her dads, I was at 67% when I left, drove 15 minutes, he wasn't home so went to call him. Black screen, won't turn on. I brought it home, took battery out, put it back, charged more, got it on. Yes! Put on hypnosis and went to bed, alarm set. In the morning no alarm, and odin little green android dude was on phone saying failed to boot properly. Ended up getting it to work again for the same thing to happen the next day except I couldn't get it back on to factory reset it before shipping it back. It is now in the mail, I'm waiting on a refund and getting something else.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

most annoying phone i've ever owned

the very first day I got the phone I was annoyed with it. the firmware is stuck on android 4.4.4 and I can't update it. the battery is shot and won't stay charged for more that 30 minutes without shutting off on me. I thought that a galaxy note would be a great update from my iphone. it would be if I could get the latest firmware, the battery wasn't horrible and the speed wasn't so slow. the features are cool and I like the health app a lot but it is all literally pointless to have if the phone can't even keep a charge.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Not high def, Poor quality, poor speed, irresponsive
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Plenty of other reviews already mention this device's virtues. I'll focus on what's wrong.
First of all the battery life is terrible. I keep 6 batteries in my pocket in hopes of getting through just one typical 24 hour period.
Secondly, the battery is not tight against the contacts, so it sometimes disconnects all power. I use a piece of card-stock to add pressure so battery fits tighter in the compartment.
Thirdly, it does not get a really good signal, so dropped calls are not unusual.
And lastly, it is not fast, so there can be a fair amount of waiting around.
I consider the above points minuses.
Other than all that, it's a decent enough phone.
