One bad feature ruins the phone

The finger print scanner does not work. It acknowledges my print entry but after that will not accept my finger print with the result I have to enter the backup code to access my phone.
I have tired to have the Verizon store see if I am doing anything wrong. We have reentered the finger print information numerous times, and have tired multiple fingers - it does not work!!! I intend to take the phone back and replace it with something other than Samsung.
Pros: none
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the phone

So far the best smart phone I have owned, had the droid charge and this phone that one out the water!! Love all the things you can do on the phone and love the smart select and the multi screen, hope more apps will get to use this feature!!
I am impressed with all that you can do on this phone and cant wait to discover more hidden features as I learn more about the phone.
My only experience is with iOS smart phones since the beginning of smart devices. I am excited about what seems like endless possibilities and value of this phone. I am also totally impressed with the display and the ability to have larger more readable characters. The colors are brilliant, while the picture/video quality is even better than my last phone. In addition, the ability to manipulate & print documents on the fly without the added expense of purchasing several apps to do so, is hugely advantageous. Although my last phones were capable of this ability, I never wanted to purchase the costly apps in order to use office documents.
Secondly, even though this phone is in direct competition with the new iPhone 6 Plus, I feel that each phone has it's advantages for the way an individual likes to use their phone. And, sometimes even that changes for some people. There are times when simplistic is easier for users while at other times more freedom and ability to manipulate the entire phone is needed by another segment. So my opinion is that there are some features and designs that can be compared, i.e. size, thickness, screen size, display saturation etc. But when it comes down to operating system, these two phones are two different animals and it depends on what season you are in that should guide your purchase.
On the down side, I've experienced one serious issue & one problem that is not a total deal breaker since purchased. The serious issue is that this phone has gotten very hot at least 3 times; not normal in my opinion. So, back to AT&T I am going to have this issue checked. The not so serious issue which is more of a design flaw in my opinion is the placement of the speakers. In my opinion, if Samsung should place the speakers at the front of this phone in the next models, it will be nearest to perfection in the phablet category.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: need a few shortcuts
I would recommend this to a friend!

What can be said about this amazing device. First and foremost, the display is fantastic; nothing like I have ever seen on a smartphone. The ability to make the screen more or less vibrant is just outstanding; in fact it is more than any other smartphone maker is willing to offer. The feel of the phone is wonderful, the metal finish and new design language adds class to this beauty and truly steps up Samsung's game. The speakers are exemplary; I have no complaint for this phone can get extremely loud when necessary while also delivering quality sound. Being an artist, the S-pen comes in handy many times when inspiration arises or just when wanting to doodle. The camera is beyond my expectations as I have never expected such a level of detail to be achieved from a smartphone. The battery furthermore is wonderful with power saving modes or even swapping the battery, there is no longer even a need to charge the phone. Better display, better camera, better S-pen, better features, and better design just screams magnificence from Samsung and what more could you ask for.
