Note 4 as good as I hoped

I have had a Samsung since my pre-smartphone days. I went from S2 to S4 to the Note 4. I watch youtube videos to learn how to utilize all the features. I am learning to better use the S pen. The key is in the learning as once you do, you use the features on a regular basis.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, love the feel in my hand
Cons: waterproof would be nice

I was a bit apprehensive at first, I like smaller phones. However the note 4 was defiantly a good choice for me, can even mostly comprehend my atrocious handwriting when I use the in-set stylus
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: expensive if you don't use credit

Not a big improvement comparing to my old Samsung SGH-T599N

I bought Note4 mainly because of the bigger screen. The size is comfortable enough to read news on my phone instead of carrying my Nook tablet but this bigger screen could be utilized better. I wish I could fit more icons on one page. The pages can hold only 16 icons just like my tiny old phone. Also, there are just 7 home pages, again, just like my old one. I 'm not that impressed its features improvements because my old Samsung could do everything Note4 can. Even there were features that I thought my old one was better. For example, the swiping the screen pages feature was better on my old phone because it allowed me to swipe in circular motion instead of stopping at the end of the pages. On Note4, I have to swipe only one way. About the looks, the older versions are much better because Samsung had that unique, attractive look that made them distinctly more beautiful looking than iPhones. These new versions look similar to iPhones which are so plain and simple. I can mention a couple of good features on Note4; a nice lock screen personalization and a far better screen resolution.

Cons: Did not meet expectations, plain looking, home pages swipe only one way

I've had the Samsung Note 4 for about 9 months and like the phone. Size is one of the key features that add to its convenience, at the same time it is slightly large for a phone when you consider carrying in a pocket. Overall the phone is above average compared to most phones in the market. As mentioned, size is convenient for some functions (browse, email, etc).
However, I've noticed an issue with phone calls and group messaging on this and other high end Samsung phones (S4). With phone calls, the other party would suddenly stop hearing me. This happens frequently and eventually (for my older S4) it rendered the phone unusable. The same is starting to happen in the Note 4 in just under 9 months and no phone physical damage.
On text group messaging I noticed some messages are not received or delivered. Most times also the message would not be in order of time sent/received with my earlier responses still showing as the most recent.
My carrier has investigated and ruled out a network issue, so unclear what the issue is at this time other than happening on multiple Samsung devices.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was worried I wouldn't like how big it is at first but I absolutely love it, best phone I've had, had galaxy 3's the last couple years I also loved. I'll never buy anything other than Samsung from now on
