I'd been looking at the Galaxy Note 4 for quite a while. I finally decided to pull the trigger. I previously owned a Galaxy Note 2 and really enjoyed the S Pen. After switching to something else, I missed it, but it wasn't until I picked up my Note 4 that I realized how much.
I've now replaced my old spiral notebook with my Note 4 for business meetings. I clean my screen a whole lot less too thanks to the S Pen and not having to touch the screen so much. The display might just be the best I've ever seen on a smartphone or ever seen period. The Snapdragon 805 with Adreno 420 and 3GB of RAM helps this phone power through everything I've thrown at it with one exception. That exception must be a code problem because it stutters on every Android phone I've ever had. Temple Run 2. Other than that, though, I've been 100% impressed with the performance.
Build quality is finally what a premium device such as the Note 4 deserves. The metal frame truly makes this feel fantastic. I'm also a big fan of the soft-touch, textured back. Hopefully long gone are the days of chrome and glossy plastic. :)
My two cons are really small. First, it's just too hard to reach the recent, home and back buttons with one hand. When I do manage to reach them, I almost always also hit whatever is above them on-screen. I've installed a third-party app to allow to swipe in from the right to get a pie-style control which has helped. Possibly the bezel on the bottom could have been a little bit bigger but I understand wanting to keep the device as small as possible given its already-large size.
The other con is a finicky sound profile. There are times I won't have any haptic feedback. Other times the volume will cut out and I get no system sounds. Still others the volume drops on everything inexplicably. This could be user error and I may figure out that I'm doing something wrong.
Also sound related, the volume doesn't seem to be get very loud. Connecting through either a bluetooth connection or through the 3.5 mm headphone jack, it seems I'm almost always near 100% volume. For instance, I connect to a bluetooth module in my car with the volume at 100% on the phone. The volume on the car stereo is near 35 for normal listening. When paired with another phone, the same 100% on the phone, the car stereo volume is around 24. It doesn't matter which bluetooth device I'm connected to nor which set of headphones. The volume is just low.
Like I said, those are small pain points that are easily overlooked because they don't hurt my normal everyday use of the phone.
All in all, I really love my Galaxy Note 4. Truthfully, I had a Galaxy S5 and didn't keep it very long. I think the lack of the S Pen hurt. The Note 4 is a fantastic do-it-all device and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
I like this phone so much I made it my new personal assistant

How many times have you needed a pen & paper during a phone call, Not with this phone. When was the last time you missed a call because your hands were full. Have you ever lost your phone down the side of the couch. All that and then a whole lot more . I have only just begun. My first smart phone and I had to have the best. Just try being a Sub-Contractor without a phone like this , good luck ! A little pricey YOU ONLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Thanks Samsung.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Lightweight, fits in the pocket, great screen

for the cost of the phone i think it should come with a lot more commonly use paid app already installed and free to use and a 2 sided hdmi cable as well for we do not all or can not all afford the smart tvs yes i would love to have one along with the gear 2 but over all the phone is brilliant just wish verizon would of had the edge for i would have gotten that. and it could be more like the s5 water proof.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: water proof, weight

Great camera and image quality. But speed is slow. To delete a 16M picture needs 10sec.

I absolutely love this phone. It does everything I need and then some. The S-pen is even better than the note 3 which I thought was great and the screen on this phone is one of the best I've ever seen on a mobile device. My only con would be the single speaker on the back of the phone. In all honesty though it still is louder than most of the other phones I was looking at. I just don't really like the position on the back of the phone.
