I spent a long time online and shopping in stores looking for a dishwasher. I got great quality for the price. I especially enjoy how quite it is compared to by other dishwasher. Great feature is the sliverware can be placed on door or in tub.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cleans well & no problems after 6 yrs in rent house

I installed this dishwasher in my rent house in 2010 and it is still going strong. Tenants have all liked it and I'm happy it's been repair free. This week the door began to leak on one side during pots & pans cycle. Turns out the new tenant dropped a heavy knife on that side causing a slit in the gasket. Not the dishwasher's fault!

I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance. I bought 4 new appliances in 2010 and everything has broken except the fridge!

This DU1055 XTVS dishwasher is quite loud at 55 decibels. After only a few years, many of the prongs on both the top and bottom racks have rusted and broken off. New replacement racks will cost more than a brand new dishwasher! And they must be assembled as well. The silverware basket is removable for easy unloading, however, it very clumsy to attach back to the lower rack and constantly falls off because two very small pieces of plastic are supposed to hold it in place. The latch for the cover of the basket also broke off within the first month, leaving just a loop of metal that is now keeping it closed. Water will pool on any glass or vessel that is not perfectly flat even after the dry cycle is completed so you will need to hand dry most items. I LOVE my +20 year old Whirlpool washer and dryer and choose the Whirlpool brand when I needed a new dishwasher and anticipated of the same great results. I am really disappointed with the quality of this dishwasher and will need to replace the whole unit now after only a few years of use.

Great Washer

The washer is very good and cleans very well. The racks are very versatile and allow for easy loading and unloading. The features are very nice and work well. The only downside is the unit is a little loud. It is in an open floor plan house and I use the delay start feature as it is a little louder than I would like. Overall a great product.

Sharp Looking Dishwasher

We bought this as a replacement for our old loud GE unit. We liked the stainless look with the black. This unit runs quietly enough and is easy to operate. We are very pleased with our purchase.

This is my 1st new dishwasher (as in newer than 1990!) and I couldn't be happier with it. Love, love, love the capability to move the silverware tray to different places in the dishwasher. Super quiet-never knew one could be that quiet, lots of convenient features, does a fantastic job cleaning. Wish we had gotten a Whirlpool fridge & OTR microwave now!
