The food in the fridge freezes.
The food in the freezer is not as frozen as it should be.
I tried adjusting temp. knobs & this was unsuccessful.

Freezer kept icing up, new door seal had to be fitted. Is very noisy, wakes us up at night. Noise goes on for an hour, have to turn TV right up.

I bought this GE refrigerator mainly because it fits the my kitchen refrigerator alcove. I wanted another GE model, a white one, but the internal shelving has a bad step design, so this is the next best one. Although it has a stylish stainless facade, but I do not like the vinyl side finish. The capacity is a bit smaller than my last refrigerator, and it does not have a egg carton on the door. But the worst issue its noise. I read the reviews on line after the purchase that this is a noisy refrigerator, but I did not think it can be this noisy since my last refrigerator was 26 years old and it was not noisy, so how bad can the current technology and manufacturing be. Boy I was wrong. It is not just a low hum, it has a constant squeaky axle turning noise. I feel it will break down soon, or within a few years unlike my last one which lasted 26 years. Yeah, this refrigerator is made in America and I felt GE is a good safe brand to go with, but so much for the poor quality that I can not be proud of.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought this model about 3 months ago. It is the right size for us, two people. Major complaint would be how loud it is. This was the only model that would fit in the space we had.
