Looks nice but quality and top range uneven

My builder purchased this for me during renovations. The top is made uneven and a fry pan does not set flat on one burner. I noticed after work done when I came back to unit 5 months later. Felt I would not be cooking that much because I eat out so kept it because it "looks" good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The oven and elements heat up exceptionally fast.

We were able without any effort to slide our new stove into our small 30 in. space.
I can do so much with our coil heating elements then I could do with our smooth top.Our decision was not made in haste. It took us five months to decide on a G.E..There are no negative features - I love my new G.E 30 in. slide in range.

Good features -- Stove-top is easier to clean than glass-top stove. Stove is attractive to look at, but:
Disappointments -- Oven light bulb burned out 3 months after installation, and replaced bulb burned out 9 days later. Sometimes, oven door makes popping noise when oven is heated. Oven light bulb in difficult location to be replaced. Stove-top coils are difficult to remove & replace. Would recommend this stove ONLY WITH RESERVATIONS!!!!!!

I got mine 3 weeks ago i love it the black to is a Little hard to clean but invisible glass takes out the streaks

I have had this new GE slide-in range for 2-3 months now. It works very well, though the black top needs cleaned after every use. Nothing wrong with cleanliness! Controls are easy, and the oven is good-sized with more room than I initially thought.

We finally have a range that has an oven that works and at the appropriate temperatures that we select. Easy cleaning and looks great inner kitchen. Can not wait until canning season.

A few drawbacks but not bad

I've had this range now for a little over a month and I've had many of the same issues others have.
There aren't many choices in ranges if you don't want a smooth top and this one is the lesser of the evils available, in my opinion.
The clock placement is annoying because you can't see it unless you are looking at it from above.
The black top is difficult to keep clean. I find glass cleaner is useful.
The fan isn't super loud and from what I hear it's not avoidable in this type of range.
I upgraded from an older white GE drop-in and hoped the measurements would remain the same. Not so. Some modifications did have to be made in order to make this fit.
Performance of the range is as expected. Sucks though that these days one has to pay more for a classic design since glass tops are so trendy.
