So far a great compliment to my big gas grill

I have only used it once for Japanese Tsukune (skewered chicken meatballs). Combined 9 regular charcoal with a few pieces binochan to make a dinner for 3, and it was perfect--imparted great smokey flavor. Next time I would use more regular briquettes or all binochan since the latter imparts higher heat.
Grill was easy to transport to my daughter's house to prep dinner.

Solid grill, holds the heat and very easy to use. We have a large Weber for the big family days, and this is perfect for those in between times.

I've had this grill for a couple of weeks now. I've used it most every night. This is an amazing grill. I've tried to figure out exactly why its so different than my large grill and here's what I've decided. First of all I stopped using the charcoal chimney to start the charcoal and here's what I found out. By using the chimney the charcoal were all white hot by the time I poured them into the grilled. Well, the small grill uses much fewer briquettes so I use a fire starter so the charcoal is still smokey which give the food a much better flavor. Next the food is so close to the hot coals that it cooks much faster searing the outside with that crunchy mouth watering exterior while leaving the interior moist and juicy. Seriously, you need to try this grill. You will be amazed.
