Greatest vent hood ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have downdrafts for 25 years. We changed to gas cooktop and my husband was convinced that a vent hood would be better than a downdraft. Boy is it! This unit has an auto function that senses how much smoke there is and adjusts the fan speed accordingly, or you can choose the speed you want. There is even a boost that puts the fan on “super speed” for up to 10 minutes. No more lingering smoke or odors. This is so much better than my downdrafts. We got the 42” and we are very happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this Island Canopy Hood 2 months ago and was surprised to find the various switches do not light up until they are activated. At night, they are hard to see. The two slots for the vent are not large enough to allow sufficient air to pass. Looks nice but does not draft sufficient air.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchase a complete KitchenAid appliance package which included this Canopy Hood. I've been using it for a little more than a month now. Pros: It is streamlined, the LED lights are nicely positioned, the venting is excellent, and the draw fans work beautifully. The Cons: As with any SS appliance, hard to keep clean.

Looks fantastic on our 8 foot ceiling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this along with the 36" KA cooktop for our complete remodel. Our contractor initially thought it wouldn't work with our 8ft ceiling based on some of these reviews. After reviewing the mount, we decided to move forward and make it work. By shortening the angle irons and only using one section of shroud, we achieve a 28" chimney height and 36" clearance above the counter top. Looks great and passed county inspections with no issues. Hood is stunning, whisper-quiet, and powerful. The center lights provide warm light at night while the outer LED lights are excellent for tasks. We are very happy with this hood. If you have an 8 foot ceiling and your contractor tells you this won't work, don't get a new hood, get a new contractor!
