Amazing!

I bought this for our kitchen remodel in July. In all honesty, I got it for the design aspect that I was going for and I am glad I did. My contractor said it was the best range hood he has ever installed. The quality is impeccable and the exhaust fan is powerful enough to suck up a small child…just kidding.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stylish Design, Works Well

I liked that this model looked more modern than others from KitchenAid because the bottom part is flat and not domed. I got the recirculating kit because it would have been too expensive to vent up to the roof, but so far it's working much better than the fan that was under my old microwave that was over the range. The lights are bright white in front, and pressing the button a second time turns on a softer light in the back that seems like a night light. The highest fan setting is a little loud, but the lowest setting is quiet and works well enough for everything I've cooked so far.

Stay Away from KitchenAid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit was defective out of the box and they would not replace the unit. It took a service call for them to tell me they have to order the replacement motor and it would take an additional week and another service call to repair. I will never buy Kitchen Aid again. I am also experiencing an issue with my new range too. Very disappointing. If you are contemplating getting KitchenAid appliances I would highly recommend against it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice vent hood. It's attractive (more on that later), quiet and works well. The lights are attractive, bright and useful and I love the automatic part that turns it off and on when needed. I had a much more expensive vent hood but I truly like this one more. Now, about its attractiveness. It came with the Kitchenaid logo on it crooked! I can't look at a crooked logo for the rest of my life! I had to have two service calls to get it replaced and leveled. That was totally unnecessary if there was adequate quality control. Just saying.

Way too easy to scratch.

As the title says. As a contractor I have installed hundreds of range hoods and this is by far the least forgiving finish, even for very careful installers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

crapped out after a year of use

Defective out of the box
