Classic Style and Super Quiet Hood

Very Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased KitchenAid because of a supposed reputation for quality. That is not the case. This hood has been less than a year and the blower wheel came apart. I have tried to get the part but I am told I must replace the entire blower assembly when it is only the blower wheel that is bad. The most expensive blower wheel is around 1/3 the cost of the blower assembly. The blower wheel is super easy to replace but they won't sell it to you by it's self. In addition, the wheel is made of plastic and comes apart because of the heat. ( It is a cook top hood and the blower wheel comes apart because it can't take the heat ) The people are ignorant to deal with and the wheel is junk. It should be made of metal not plastic. We paid a lot of money for the hood but it is junk. I would not recommend KitchenAid to anyone and I am going to file a formal complaint.

bright light, powerful blower, sleek attractive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the whole kitchenaide pro kitchen suite wiht my pro kitchen package, when we built our home a few months ago. Now my review may be a little slanted, as Ive never had a hood that actually blows through a vent to the out doors. This blower is very powerful. When we are searing meat indoors on cast iron, this hood easily takes all the smoke away, if you turn it on first. If you don't, and your smoke detectors remind you, it removes the smoke very quickly. Its not overly loud, on the lower levels, but on the higher levels it moves a lot of air, and you can hear it working for sure.
The LED lighting is bright, and even, and it has about a 3000 K color temp, so its not glaring blue or white, its a nice soft color, but still bright enough to see what you're cooking. I don't usually value builder upgrades, I prefer to buy basic, and do things later. This happened to be a sale deal, and was a great value. I love this kitchen, and I am so glad I did the upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used the recirculating kit since our vent is setup to downdraft. But it still works well and looks great. The only potential issue is, since it recirculates inside the house, I have to change filters every 6 months and they look a little difficult to get to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an average range hood. The plastic Exhaust piece that fits on the top does not seal and air leaks out at the top surface of the hood. I had to put lot of duct tape to seal it. This item is not worth the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product pairs perfectly with the 36-Inch 4 Burner with Griddle, Gas Rangetop, Commercial-Style (KGCU463VSS) it has very powerful suction and is sleek in style. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is extremely loud. This isn't unusual for the amount of power it has though. Be sure to clean it after cooking, as it does collect some liquid drops underneath when cooking with oil.
